Badi Enge Zurich: Lake Bath, Sauna & Outdoor Workout Guide
Badi Enge in Zurich: directions, lake bath, sauna, food and outdoor workouts. Templeshape trains there seasonally and explains how to plan your visit.
# Templeshape x Badi Enge: Outdoor Workout, Cold Plunge and Directions
Templeshape uses Badi Enge seasonally for outdoor workouts. It is not a replacement for the Health Temple CITY studio, but a summer format by the lake. Our studio is at Manessestrasse 120 in Zurich Wiedikon. From there, the walk to Badi Enge takes about 20 minutes.
Train, then jump into Lake Zurich. Badi Enge works well for that. Fresh air, a lake view and a direct cold plunge in the water after class. For guided cold exposure, intro sessions and regular cold-plunge routines, use our offer at Health Temple CITY.
Quick overview:

# 1. Badi Enge in Zurich
Badi Enge sits directly on Lake Zurich, a few minutes’ walk from Bürkliplatz. There is a mixed bath and a women’s bath — both with lake access and 44-metre swimming lanes. Add a sauna, a restaurant with a lake terrace and a diving board.
The bath is open from mid-May to mid-September. Operation and gastronomy are run by Tonttu GmbH.
Templeshape offers outdoor sport sessions at Badi Enge twice a week in spring and summer. Check the schedule for exact dates.

# 2. Location and Directions
# # How to get there
- Public transport: Tram or bus to Bürkliplatz or Bahnhof Enge, then approx. 10 minutes on foot
- Car: Parking at Hafen Enge
- On foot from Health Temple CITY: approx. 20 minutes via Manessestrasse and the lake promenade
# # Around the bath
Jogging paths run along the lake. You can rent kayaks or paddleboards on the water. Several cafés and the Arboretum park are nearby.
# 3. Facilities at Badi Enge
# # Swimming and sun deck
The swimming lanes are 44 metres long. There are two floating platforms and a diving board. The sun deck has loungers and umbrellas.
# # Sauna
The sauna at Badi Enge operates in winter. The combination of hot sauna followed by a plunge into the cold lake is effective. Sweat first, then cool down — the principle behind cold plunge and ice bathing.
# # Food and drink
The restaurant at Badi Enge serves lunch menus with lake views. In the evening, moules et frites are on the menu. The menu ranges from salads to fish and cocktails.

# 4. Events and Moules et Frites
During the summer season, Badi Enge hosts live concerts, open-air film screenings and cultural events. The events calendar on seebadenge.ch lists current dates.
The culinary highlight is moules et frites — mussels with crispy fries, served with a view of Lake Zurich and the Alps.

# 5. Outdoor Workout with Templeshape
Templeshape offers outdoor workouts at Badi Enge in spring and summer. The format:
- Bootcamp or yoga outside on the lake promenade
- cold plunge in Lake Zurich afterwards, for anyone who wants to join
- warm showers available
- a solid way to start the day
For guided cold exposure with technique and breathing exercises, we recommend the Cold Plunge Intro Sessions at Health Temple CITY.

# 6. Impressions of Badi Enge
Badi Enge is a box bath on the Lake Zurich promenade. The water quality and the view of the lake and mountains speak for themselves. The swimming lanes, diving board and calm atmosphere in the early morning make it one of the most popular spots in Zurich.
The water is clear, the terraces are well maintained, and the restaurant delivers on what the location promises: fresh fish, cold drinks and a table right by the lake.
