Wir haben unseren Fokus auf Private Intro-Sessions verlagert, um dir einen persönlichen und sicheren Start zu ermöglichen. Egal, ob du blutiger Anfänger bist oder als erfahrener „Biohacker“ deine Routine vertiefen willst – wir begleiten dich dabei, den Kälteschock kontrolliert zu meistern.

Ice bathing is more than just a trend.
It is a powerful method that has numerous positive effects on physical and mental health.
Here are some convincing advantages of ice bathing:

  • Regular ice bathing can promote the production of white blood cells and strengthen the immune system, making the body better equipped to fight disease.
  •  Improvement in blood circulation. The sudden cold stimulus stimulates blood circulation and helps the body to transport oxygen more efficiently.
  • Faster regeneration after sport. Ice baths support muscle recovery by reducing inflammation and preventing muscle soreness.
  • Mental strength and stress reduction. Immersion in cold water requires mental discipline and at the same time promotes the release of endorphins, which can reduce stress and lift the mood.

What is a cold plunge / ice bath?

Is ice bathing safe or dangerous?

How long should I stay in the cold water?

We recommend 2-3 minutes for beginners. Experienced cold plungers can stay in the ice water for up to 5 minutes or longer. It is important to listen to your body and get used to the cold slowly.

What does an ice bath feel like?

The first few seconds are often a challenge, as the body reacts to the sudden cold with a reflex. After around 30-60 seconds, breathing calms down and many people report a euphoric and energetic feeling afterwards.

Do I need to use a special breathing technique?

Breathing techniques such as the Wim Hof method can help you prepare for the cold and maintain control of your body. It is important to breathe calmly and not panic.

Does a cold plunge also make sense in summer?

Yes, even in summer, body and mind benefit from the positive effects of the cold. The relaxing effects and the energizing feeling after an ice bath are equally strong at any time of year.

Can I take an ice bath on my own?

We recommend that you do not get into the ice bath alone, especially for the first time. It's best to have a companion or use professional supervision, such as at our Health Temple Studio Wiedikon.
