Postnatal Course Zurich: Providers, Timing and Checklist
How to choose a postnatal recovery course in Zurich: timing, teacher qualifications, pelvic-floor support, baby-friendly formats and next steps.
Looking for a postnatal recovery course in Zurich? The useful criteria are qualified guidance, timing that fits your individual recovery and a format adapted to your birth and current symptoms.
This guide helps you compare providers. One important distinction: Templeshape does not offer a clinical postnatal recovery course. Motherhood Club is a follow-on fitness offer for the period after initial healing and postnatal recovery.
Finished your first recovery phase? Motherhood Club in Zurich Wiedikon offers Mamalates, Mamapower and Mamasté with babies from 3 months. Join only after medical clearance and at a suitable level.
# When should you start?
Timing is individual. Birth, C-section recovery, pain and pelvic-floor symptoms all matter. A midwife, doctor or specialist physiotherapist can assess your start more reliably than a generic number of weeks online.
Seek medical advice first if you have pain, strong pelvic pressure, unusual bleeding or other persistent symptoms.
# What should a good course cover?
- pelvic-floor awareness and coordination
- breathing and pressure management
- deep abdominal and back muscles
- posture for lifting and carrying
- gradual load progression
- modifications after vaginal birth or C-section
A group class does not replace an individual diagnosis. Specialist physiotherapy may be the better first step for incontinence, persistent pressure, pain or concerns about diastasis recti.

# Provider checklist
Ask about the teacher’s postnatal qualifications, class size and how exercises are modified. Decide whether training with or without your baby is more realistic. Check travel time, pram access, changing facilities and cancellation terms.
Insurance contributions depend on your policy, provider and teacher qualification. Ask your insurer directly rather than relying on a general promise.

# After recovery: exercise with your baby
Motherhood Club at Health Temple CITY is designed for the next phase:
| Format | Focus | Starting point |
|---|---|---|
| Mamalates | calm Mat Pilates, core and posture | gentle return after clearance |
| Mamasté | yoga, breathing and mobility | calm movement with baby |
| Mamapower | functional strength and stamina | once your base is ready for more load |
Babies are welcome from 3 months. Check current prices and places in the booking system.
