Hatha training in 5 weekends
Our 50-hour training offers a comprehensive introduction to the art of Hatha Yoga. The training extends over 5 weekends. During this time, participants deepen their knowledge in the following areas:
- Practice and theory of asanas: Learning correct alignment and understanding physical postures.
- Pranayama: Introduction to various breathing techniques to promote life energy.
- Meditation and Kriyas: Techniques for mental clarity and body cleansing.
- Teaching methodology: Structure of yoga lessons, didactics and ethical foundations of teaching.
- Anatomy and Physiology: Understanding of body systems and specific yoga anatomy.
- Yoga philosophy: Insights into the origins of yoga and important scriptures such as the Vedas and the Bhagavad Gita.
The curriculum
Hatha philosophy
The Hatha philosophy in yoga emphasizes the balance of opposites, particularly the sun (masculine energy) and the moon (feminine energy), to achieve harmony and inner balance. During the training you will learn how this philosophy influences daily life, the importance of contrasts such as activity and rest and how body, mind and soul are connected. The goal is to develop your own potential and lead a conscious, fulfilled life through balance.
Asanas & Anatomy
You learn the meaning of the Asanas (postures) and their influence on body and mind. Each pose promotes strength, structure and stability while supporting inner balance.
A central component is the anatomy, which provides a deeper understanding of body structures. Topics such as muscles, joints, spine and fascia are covered to ensure safe and effective execution of the asanas. The connection between breathing and movement is also discussed.
This knowledge enables a mindful and conscious yoga practice that can be individually adapted to increase long-term physical well-being.
Meditation & Breathing (Pranayama)
meditation and Pranayama (Breathing techniques) are essential practices that play a central role in yoga training. Meditation promotes mindfulness, inner peace and mental clarity and helps calm the mind and expand consciousness.
Pranayama, the conscious control of breath, is a powerful tool for regulating life energy (prana). Through targeted breathing exercises you will learn to reduce stress, improve mental concentration and strengthen physical endurance.
This creates a deeper connection with yourself, which promotes harmony and balance on all levels of being.
Teach
You will learn how to organize a yoga class mindfully and effectively. You will explore how a class is structured to create a flowing and balanced practice. Preparing the room and creating a welcoming atmosphere are also important aspects.
The training also includes giving Adjustments (corrective advice) to support participants in their practice and avoid injuries. You will be guided to develop your own language to give clear and respectful instructions.
A particular focus is on dealing with injuries and necessary adjustments during pregnancy to ensure a safe and health-promoting practice for everyone

We highly recommend that anyone interested take part in one of Laura's regular classes and/or have a short intake interview with us. Attendance of at least 70% of the training units is required for successful completion.

My name is Laura and I am a certified teacher for Hatha Yoga, Katonah® Yoga, Kundalini and children's yoga. I am originally from Austria, but have been living in Switzerland since 2014 and am 36 years old. For me, yoga is more than just a practice - it is a way of life to harmonize body, mind and breath and to feel the connection to your own soul. My yoga classes are about conveying the joy and lightness of movement. It's about consciously perceiving your own body, feeling yourself and simply letting yourself be who you are.
