In Zurich, it seems like every day is a race – whether you’re chasing the tram or tackling a mountain of emails.
Stress feels like a national sport here.
But while the city is in constant motion, you can occasionally take it easy.
Don’t know how?
Pilates! Pilates is your little piece of relaxation in the midst of Zurich’s chaos.
Why struggle with the hustle and bustle when you can strengthen your core – the true essence – with Pilates?
Here is the ultimate list of the best studios for District 1, District 2, District 3, and District 4.
I. Pilates in District 1 (Old Town of Zurich)
You spend a lot of time in the Old Town because you are one of the few chosen people who live or work there?
Ah, just imagine what an American wouldn’t give for that.
“Oh my gawsh, it’s soooo pretty!”
And they aren’t wrong, District 1 of Zurich is indeed a special spot on earth.
Now let’s get to the list of Pilates studios that make the neighborhood so great.
1.1 PilaTess – Personal Trainer
If you want to take private Pilates lessons, you can do so wonderfully at PilaTess.
By the way, we offer the same at Templeshape, in case you’re looking for it in Wiedikon instead of the Old Town.
1.2 Piz Pilates at Neumarkt
In the eastern part of District 1, you will find Piz Pilates, where you will especially benefit if you already have a basic fitness level and ideally some experience in Pilates.
1.3 BODYART in the Old Town
Of course, BODYART must not be missing from this list.
One of the most popular studios in District 1, where you find workouts on your own terms.
Whether it’s cardio, muscle building, or more mindfulness, the spectrum in this Pilates studio is very broad.
1.4 Form Studio with Reformer Pilates
In the western part of District 1, you will find the Form Studio.
There you can do Reformer Pilates in a very stylish environment.

II. Pilates in District 2 (Enge and Shoreline)
Here, you may not have an Old Town, but you have either direct or very close access to the lake.
A very nice neighborhood in Zurich, where you can also find a lot of dream houses.
That and cool Pilates studios.
2.1 Pilatesbyme
The studio near Rieterpark in District 2 offers both mat Pilates and Reformer Pilates.
Certainly not the cheapest lessons in town, but high quality and very friendly.
2.2 Fitvibe Studio Zurich
The bright and minimalist studio of Fit Vibe is also highly recommended.
You can do Reformer Pilates and classic Pilates there, as well as stretching classes.
The founder Sergej is definitely extremely qualified when it comes to Pilates, EMS, and stretching.
Why not give it a try!
2.4 Basi Pilates Studio
Right at Tunnelstrasse tram stop, you will find the studio of the BASI chain.
They are generally known for their quality training and are therefore a safe bet professionally.
The equipment is high quality and you can train many different things like Reformer, Cadillac Pilates, or even Barre Pilates there.
Just a hop away from Enge train station too!
2.4 Templeshape
Pretty much at the border of District 2 and District 3 is our own studio that you should check out.
We focus heavily on group classes and offer not only Pilates but also yoga, fitness and dance programs.
You can find us at Manessestrasse 120.

Come join us in the group classes!
IV. Pilates Circle 3 (Wiedikon & Sihlfeld)
The circle that is becoming increasingly popular.
Originally known for its industry, you now find many families in this area.
3.1 Templeshape
As mentioned in the previous section, we are not just a Pilates studio.
Instead, we value diversity and encourage our Templeshapers to embrace a healthy mix of various things.
Our Pilates classes are definitely among the most popular in our program.
We offer both private Pilates sessions and group classes.
In terms of price, you will hardly find a cheaper offer in the city.
Not even through MyClubs 😉 Our community is quite important to us, and we want everyone to be able to afford a balanced active lifestyle.
3.2 Pilates Plana
The selection of Pilates studios in Wiedikon or Circle 3 is quite poor.
One of the few there is Pilates Plana, which is currently not accepting new members.
3.3 NY Pilates Wiedikon
Last but not least, there is NY Pilates, which operates a studio in Circle 3.
The NY stands for Nermin Yalin.
Like the Pilates instructors from Templeshape, Nermin also comes to you as a “flying Pilates coach” including equipment.
You can always find a suitable spot for Pilates.

IV. Pilates Circle 4 (Aussersihl)
There is also little selection in Circle 4.
This will surely change in the future, but that is the current situation.
4.1 Celine Bardy
One of the few studios is operated by Celine Bardy.
This woman has flow in her blood, and you can feel it when you attend one of her classes.
You can do both mat Pilates and reformer Pilates with her.
Her prices are really fair too!
4.2 Atman Studio
This boutique studio is located very close to Celine Bardy.
So you can try both out.
At Atman Studio, the focus is more on Yoga, but they also offer Pilates.
